This Tiramisu recipe is simple to make and incredibly delicious. With layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and rich mascarpone cream, it’s the perfect dessert to impress your guests.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the cooled brewed coffee, sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
  5. Dip each ladyfinger quickly into the coffee mixture, making sure not to soak them.
  6. Layer half of the dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9×9 inch dish.
  7. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  8. Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  10. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings if desired.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit any liqueur.
  • You can use store-bought ladyfingers or make your own if you prefer.
