Description
This easy teriyaki salmon recipe made in the air fryer is quick, delicious, and perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. If you prefer a thicker sauce, add cornstarch and mix well.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a zip-top bag and pour the teriyaki marinade over them. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the fridge.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and shake off excess. Reserve the marinade.
- Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- While the salmon is cooking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
- Once the salmon is done, drizzle with the thickened teriyaki sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Serve warm and enjoy your delicious teriyaki salmon!
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the level of sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- You can also add vegetables to the air fryer alongside the salmon for a complete meal.
