Description

This easy teriyaki salmon recipe made in the air fryer is quick, delicious, and perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. If you prefer a thicker sauce, add cornstarch and mix well.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a zip-top bag and pour the teriyaki marinade over them. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the fridge.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade and shake off excess. Reserve the marinade.
  5. Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. While the salmon is cooking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  7. Once the salmon is done, drizzle with the thickened teriyaki sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious teriyaki salmon!

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the level of sweetness by adding more or less honey.
  • You can also add vegetables to the air fryer alongside the salmon for a complete meal.
