Steak in Air Fryer: Perfectly Juicy Steak in Just 12 Minutes

  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Cooking steak in an air fryer yields a perfectly cooked, juicy steak with a delicious crust. This easy recipe is quick and requires minimal preparation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (1 inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and let them come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  3. Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
  5. Cook the steaks in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
  6. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 140°F (60°C) for medium.
  7. Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  8. Serve garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • Cooking times may vary based on the thickness of the steaks and the specific air fryer model.
  • For added flavor, marinate the steaks for a few hours before cooking.
