Ingredients
Scale
- 4–5 pounds beef brisket, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

- In a bowl, mix together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, cumin, and bay leaves.
- Place the seared brisket on top of the onions and garlic in the slow cooker, then pour the sauce mixture over the brisket.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until the brisket is fork-tender.
- Remove brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing against the grain.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the brisket overnight in the sauce before cooking.
- Serve with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or sandwich rolls.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
