  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the beef brisket.
  4. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket on all sides until browned, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer the brisket to the slow cooker.
  6. Add sliced onion and minced garlic on top of the brisket.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine beef broth, barbecue sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the mixture over the brisket.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the brisket is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
  9. Once cooked, remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
  10. Serve with the sauce from the slow cooker drizzled on top.
