A deliciously rich and aromatic Indian chicken curry served alongside soft naan and crispy fries for the perfect meal.

- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish
- Naan bread, for serving
- Fries, for serving
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chilies. Sauté for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
- Add chicken pieces to the pot and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Sprinkle in turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken.
- Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Add garam masala and stir well. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
- Serve the chicken curry with soft naan and crispy fries on the side.
Notes
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer green chilies.
- For a richer flavor, marinate the chicken with spices and yogurt for a few hours before cooking.
