- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. Let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer on medium speed until it starts to thicken.
- Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream until fully combined. Be careful not to deflate the mixture.
- Spoon the mousse into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
- Before serving, garnish with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder.
Notes
- For a lighter mousse, you can substitute half the heavy cream with Greek yogurt.
- Feel free to add a splash of your favorite liqueur for an adult version.
