Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 green onions
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Dredge chicken pieces in cornstarch, shaking off excess.
- Once the oil is hot, add the chicken in batches, frying until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the fried chicken pieces back into the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, double fry the chicken.
- You can use chicken breast instead of thighs if you prefer.
- Serve over steamed rice or with vegetables for a complete meal.
