- 2 ripe avocados
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or sugar-free sweetener of choice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
- Add the cocoa powder, almond milk, maple syrup (or sweetener), vanilla extract, and salt to the blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary, adding more sweetener if desired.
- Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.
- Serve chilled, optionally topped with fresh berries or nuts.
