- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 cup of BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, making sure to cover both sides evenly.
- Place the ribs on the grill, bone-side down. Cook for about 1.5 to 2 hours, turning occasionally.
- In the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce and continue to cook until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.
- Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes.
- Drizzle with apple cider vinegar before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice rub overnight in the refrigerator.
- You can also bake the ribs in the oven at 300°F for 2.5 to 3 hours if you prefer.
- Serve with classic sides like coleslaw, corn on the cob, and baked beans.
