Description

A refreshing and aromatic twist on traditional lemonade, infused with lavender and fresh mint for a perfect summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, sugar, and dried lavender. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Remove from heat and let the lavender steep for about 15 minutes.
  3. Strain the lavender syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove the lavender buds.
  4. Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water and the fresh lemon juice to the pitcher. Stir well.
  5. Bruise the fresh mint leaves slightly to release their oils, then add them to the lemonade mixture.
  6. Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs.

Notes

  • For a less sweet version, reduce the amount of sugar to taste.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of lavender to suit your preference.
