- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream, mixing until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the cheese in a single layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired before serving.
