- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream, and season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For perfectly crispy results, ensure the tater tots are spread evenly in a single layer.
- If you prefer a crunchier topping, you can increase the baking time by a few minutes, but keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
