Description
This beef brisket recipe guarantees tender, succulent results every time. Perfect for special occasions or a hearty family meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lb beef brisket
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket, ensuring it is well coated.
- In a large oven-safe pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the brisket from the pot and set aside. Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar to the pot, scraping the bottom to deglaze.
- Return the brisket to the pot, cover with a lid or aluminum foil, and transfer to the preheated oven.
- Cook for approximately 3 to 4 hours, or until the brisket is fork-tender and easily shreds.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For best results, cook the brisket low and slow to ensure tenderness.
- You can also cook the brisket in a slow cooker on low for 8 hours if preferred.
- Let the brisket rest after cooking to allow the juices to redistribute.
