- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
- 1 bag (32 oz) tater tots
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and add the frozen mixed vegetables if using. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer the tater tots on top of the beef mixture, arranging them in a single layer.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the tater tots.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, consider adding diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the beef mixture.
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
