- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your choice)
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for toppings
- Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise for condiments
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to high heat.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
- Grill the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1 minute until golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bun and adding your favorite toppings and condiments.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
