- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans, drained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain the excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and milk into the cooked beef, mixing well.
- Add the drained green beans and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and crispy fried onions.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the onions are golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding garlic powder or onion powder to the beef mixture.
- You can use fresh or frozen green beans if preferred.
- This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
