Description

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.1 oz) can of green beans, drained
  • 1 (14.1 oz) can of cut green beans, drained
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of crispy fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.
  3. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and half of the crispy fried onions.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with the remaining crispy fried onions.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the onions are golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to use fresh green beans instead of canned if you prefer.
  • You can add some cooked bacon or sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor.
