A classic green bean casserole that’s creamy, savory, and topped with crispy fried onions. Perfect for holiday dinners or any family gathering.
Ingredients

- 1 (14.1 oz) can of green beans, drained
- 1 (14.1 oz) can of cut green beans, drained
- 1 (10.5 oz) can of cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of crispy fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.
- Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and half of the crispy fried onions.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and top with the remaining crispy fried onions.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the onions are golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to use fresh green beans instead of canned if you prefer.
- You can add some cooked bacon or sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor.
