  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fruit preserves (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Unroll the croissant dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Spread a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on the wider end of each triangle.
  5. If using, add a teaspoon of fruit preserves on top of the cream cheese.
  6. Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end to the point.
  7. Place the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  11. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
