- 4 cod fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- Dip each cod fillet into the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture until well coated.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the coated cod fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges and tartar sauce.
