- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the chicken pieces to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the teriyaki sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring to coat the chicken evenly.
- While the chicken is cooking, steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 4-5 minutes.
- To serve, divide the cooked rice among bowls. Top with the teriyaki chicken and steamed broccoli.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
