Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until smooth.
- If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute. Check for doneness; if it’s not set in the middle, microwave for an additional 10-15 seconds.
- Allow to cool slightly before enjoying your mug cake straight from the mug.
