This easy fresh peach crisp recipe highlights the natural sweetness of ripe peaches, topped with a crunchy oat and almond topping. Perfect for a summer dessert!

- 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Toss gently to combine and pour into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, and remaining 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. Drizzle the melted butter over the mixture and stir until well combined. If using, fold in the sliced almonds.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the peach filling in the baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour.
- Feel free to add other fruits like blueberries or raspberries for additional flavor.
