- 3–4 lbs beef brisket
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a small bowl, mix together the beef broth, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- Rub the brisket with the spice mixture, ensuring it is well coated.
- Place the brisket on top of the onions and garlic in the crockpot.
- Pour the remaining sauce mixture over the brisket.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the brisket is tender.
- Once cooked, remove the brisket from the crockpot and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with the sauce from the crockpot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sear the brisket in a skillet before placing it in the crockpot.
- Leftover brisket can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
- Adjust the barbecue sauce to your taste preference.
