- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken strips with salt and pepper.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add nutmeg if using.
- Add the cooked fettuccine and chicken back into the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

- For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
