Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups chopped apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for drizzle)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Cut each roll into quarters.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon together until well combined.
  4. Add the quartered cinnamon rolls to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the butter mixture.
  5. Layer half of the cinnamon roll mixture in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  6. Spread half of the chopped apples over the cinnamon roll layer.
  7. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the apples.
  8. If using, sprinkle half of the chopped pecans over the caramel.
  9. Repeat the layering process with the remaining cinnamon roll mixture, apples, caramel sauce, and pecans.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are cooked through and golden brown.
  11. While the lasagna is baking, make the drizzle by mixing the powdered sugar with enough milk to reach your desired consistency.
  12. Once the lasagna is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  13. Drizzle the icing over the top of the lasagna before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize this dessert by adding other ingredients, such as chocolate chips or raisins.
