- 4 ripe tomatoes, sliced
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- On a large platter, alternate layers of tomato slices and mozzarella slices, overlapping them slightly.
- Tuck fresh basil leaves between the tomato and mozzarella layers.
- Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
