Description
Decadent and fudgy brownies topped with rich chocolate ganache and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Beat in flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder. Spread the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- While the brownies are baking, prepare the ganache. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just simmering. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until smooth.
- Once the brownies are done, let them cool completely in the pan. Pour the ganache over the cooled brownies and spread evenly.
- Cut the brownies into squares and top each with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate shavings before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add nuts or caramel swirls to the brownie batter before baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
