- 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 pound fettuccine pasta
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, for Alfredo sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
- Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
- Dredge each chicken cutlet in flour, dip in egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken cutlets until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer to a baking dish.
- Top each cutlet with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Meanwhile, cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until combined.
- Add the cooked fettuccine and Parmesan cheese to the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
- Serve the Chicken Parmesan over a bed of creamy fettuccine Alfredo, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add Italian seasoning to the breadcrumb mixture.
- Ensure the chicken is cooked through by checking the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Leftover Chicken Parmesan can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
