Description
A flavorful and tender beef sirloin tip roast, perfect for special occasions or a hearty family dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 to 4 pounds beef sirloin tip roast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Pat the beef sirloin tip roast dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the roast, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the roast on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the skillet from heat and add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to the pan.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
- Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
Notes
- For best results, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature.
- Letting the roast rest is crucial for juicy slices.
- You can add vegetables like carrots and potatoes to the roasting pan for a complete meal.
