- 1 (14.75 oz) can canned salmon (drained and flaked)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs (use gluten-free if needed)
- 1/4 cup green onion (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for brushing)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the canned salmon, beaten egg, bread crumbs, green onion, garlic powder, dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Brush each patty lightly with olive oil on both sides.
- Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the patties are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve with a dipping sauce such as tartar sauce or a squeeze of fresh lemon.
- You can add herbs like dill or parsley for extra flavor.
- These patties can be frozen before cooking. Just thaw and cook as directed.
