Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds of potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold recommended)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Fresh herbs (like parsley or rosemary) for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and peel (if desired) the potatoes. Cut them into even-sized cubes or wedges to ensure uniform cooking.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato pieces with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
- Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even crisping.
- Check for doneness; the potatoes should be golden brown and crispy on the outside. If necessary, continue air frying in 2-minute increments until desired crispiness is achieved.
- Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes before cooking to remove excess starch.
- Adjust cooking time based on the size and thickness of the potato pieces.
- Feel free to customize the seasonings to your taste; try adding cayenne pepper for heat or different herbs for flavor.
- Leftover air-fried potatoes can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
