Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets (such as cod, tilapia, or haddock)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another dish, beat the eggs.
  4. In a third dish, place the breadcrumbs.
  5. Dredge each fish fillet in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.
  6. Dip the fillet into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  7. Finally, coat the fillet in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  8. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
  9. Place the coated fish fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are not crowded.
  10. Spray the tops of the fillets lightly with cooking spray.
  11. Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the fish in lemon juice and herbs for 30 minutes before coating.
  • You can add additional spices to the breadcrumb mixture for a customized flavor.
