Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Gradually whisk in the cold water until you achieve a smooth batter.
- Dip each fish fillet into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Place the battered fish in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Air fry the fish for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the fish is cooking, toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket after the fish is done, and air fry for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Once everything is cooked, serve the fish and chips hot with lemon wedges and tartar sauce.
Notes
- You can substitute the white fish with any firm white fish.
- For extra flavor, marinate the fish in lemon juice and herbs for 30 minutes before battering.
- Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the fish fillets.
