- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
- Cinnamon sugar for topping (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Spoon the batter into a donut pan (or muffin tin) filling each cavity about halfway full.
- Place the donut pan in the air fryer basket and cook for 5-7 minutes or until lightly golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Once done, remove from the air fryer and let cool for a few minutes.
- Dust with powdered sugar or dip in cinnamon sugar if desired before serving.
