Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir in the powdered sugar until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
  6. Grease four ramekins with non-stick cooking spray and pour the batter evenly into each ramekin.
  7. Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not touch each other.
  8. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
  9. Remove from the air fryer and let cool for 1 minute.
  10. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate and serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or topped with ice cream.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can use dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet.
  • Make sure not to overcook the cakes; the center should be gooey and runny.
