- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking spray
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine chicken pieces with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs until well beaten.
- In a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Dip each chicken piece first into the egg mixture, then into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
- Place the coated chicken nuggets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
- Cook the chicken nuggets in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken in buttermilk for 30 minutes before coating.
