Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 sandwich rolls
  • cheese slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the slow cooker.
  2. Season the beef roast with salt and pepper, then place it on top of the onions.
  3. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the roast.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  5. Remove the beef and shred it with two forks.
  6. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and mix with the broth.
  7. Serve on sandwich rolls, adding cheese if desired.
