Description

This creamy lemon dill salmon pasta is a quick and easy weeknight meal that’s packed with flavor. Flaky salmon, a luscious cream sauce, and bright lemon and dill make this dish irresistible.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pasta (Linguine, fettuccine, or your favorite pasta shape)
  • 1 pound Salmon fillets (Skin on or off, cut into 1-inch pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice (Freshly squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest (From one lemon)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill (Chopped)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • for serving Parmesan cheese (Grated)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  3. Add the salmon to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  5. Stir in the fresh dill, salt, and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little of the reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream. You can also add other vegetables to the dish, such as asparagus, peas, or spinach.
