- 2 oz Tequila
- 1 oz Cointreau (or Triple Sec)
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 0.5 oz Agave Nectar (optional) (Adjust to taste)

- 1 Lime wedge (For garnish)
- as needed Ice
Instructions
- Salt the rim of a margarita glass: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip the rim in a shallow dish of salt.
- Combine the ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and agave nectar (if using).
- Add ice: Fill the shaker with ice.
- Shake well: Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled.
- Strain and serve: Strain the margarita into the prepared glass filled with ice.
- Garnish: Garnish with a lime wedge.

- For a frozen margarita, blend all ingredients with 1 cup of ice until smooth. Adjust lime juice and agave to taste. Use a good quality tequila for best flavor.
