A selection of traditional Irish appetizers.
Ingredients
- Potatoes – 500g
- Butter – 100g
- Cheddar cheese – 200g
- Chives – 1 bunch
- Bacon – 150g
- Black pudding – 200g
- Brown bread – 1 loaf
Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes.
- Boil the potatoes until soft.
- Drain and mash the potatoes with butter.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese and chopped chives to the mash.
- Cook bacon until crispy and crumble it.
- Slice black pudding and fry until golden.
- Serve the potato mash topped with bacon and black pudding, alongside slices of brown bread.

- Adjust cheese quantity based on preference.
- Use fresh chives for better flavor.
- Consider using vegetarian bacon for a meat-free option.
