Instructions

  1. Place the chicken in a large pot and cover with water.
  2. Add carrots, celery, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and bay leaf.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
  4. Remove the chicken and let it cool.
  5. Strain the broth and return it to the pot.
  6. Shred the chicken and add it back to the pot.
  7. Add egg noodles and cook for 10 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
